The Ghost of Crutchfield Hall Mary Downing Hahn I chose this book because I've had good luck with the author, Mary Downing Hahn. She is my favorite author. She paints a picture in your mind with her writing. Her books make me want to keep reading. Florence, James, and Sophia are the main characters. Florence is almost identical to Sophia in looks. She is brave and nice. She was an orphan before her uncle adopted her. James is weak and sickly before he meets Florence. He is very paranoid because he accidently killed his sister, Sophia. He spends most of his time locked away in his room, protected by his charm from Sophia. Sophia is a ghost. She is trying to change the events on the day she died. She presents herself to Florence and forces her to help change the past. James and Florence are trying to stop Sophia from changing the past. She wants to kill James on her death day. She thinks it will work. She believes if James dies on that day, it will change the past and she would still be alive. I recommend this book to anyone who likes page turning suspence and paranormal surprises. Also, to people who like very detailed stories. I give this book 5 stars and think you should read it!
